My grandparents felt that everyone needed a collection. My grandfather had one of the largest barbed wire collections in the country, my grandmother collected toothpick holders. I’m not sure why this was a family “thing” but it seemed everyone collected something. For me, it has become toy soldiers with a medical theme combining the art of the toy soldier with my career as a military physician.
