King & Country, based out of Hong Kong, is the most prolific toy soldier manufacturer in the worldd with ongoing production. They produce a wide range of figures from ancient Egypt to Napoleonics to modern warfare. Many of their military focused lines include an ambulance and associated medical figures (listed in other posts under Modern). Of note, some of their earlier production, such from the Arnheim ’44 line (A Bridge too Far series), were solid cast in resin without moving wheels.

KING & COUNTRY was founded in 1983 in Hong Kong by two expatriate Scots, Andy C. Neilson and Laura McAllister Johnson. Andy, a former Royal Marine Commando had been interested in and collecting toy soldiers since a young boy. Laura provided the solid business background and support for the company.
