Charbens was a London-based toy company founded by brothers Charles and Benjamin Reid around 1927, whose name was a combination of their first names. Initially producing lead toys, the company later shifted to die-cast metal vehicles, including their popular “Old Crocks” series and the “Rocket,” before expanding into plastic toys in the 1960s. The company’s operations eventually ceased, and the production capabilities were later acquired by another company that used them for packaging.

Charbens did not produce many medical figures. They did, however, produce a series of US Army GI figures almost identical to the Timpos series with hte exception of a wounded soldier on crutches shown below.
